The Revo Technik team gathered at a windswept Dunsfold airfield to attend the 911&Porsche World 997 Turbo Group Test.

Having released our 997 Turbo performance software last year we were confident that we could show that Revo is a must for any 997 Turbo owner. Our car for the day was kindly supplied by David Fyfield who had battled through ice and snow to attend the test. David’s 997 Turbo's only modifications over standard are the Revo software and performance exhaust. With 570bhp power, 575lbs ft torque this is no slouch and the Revo team had a trick up their sleeve.

Revo Software’s unique adjustability meant that the first job was to assess the cold weather conditions and with the “Select Plus Porsche” switch, change the performance map to suit. This unique option allows the owner to achieve the best performance whatever the conditions, further info here.

After a number of photocalls and waiting for our turn the Revo Car hit the airstrip with pleasing results. Achieving 3.5sec 0-60mph times and 2 sec 50-70mph 4th gear, matched and even bettered the higher modified cars.

Having only purchased the Revo software that week, our car owner David was very impressed. No wonder, having paid over £7000 less on modification, compared to the competition, his car was setting equivalent times. Further high speed runs showed significant performance gains over a standard 997 Turbo at 1.5 seconds quicker 0-150mph.
